Character profiles
ASHLEY KENNEDY:
Ashley is 16 years old, has brown hair and eyes. She is considered more of a tomboy by those around her, as she doesn't see the point on constantly worrying about her appearance and doesn't go shopping or do other things that are considered girly. Her style of clothing is to wear a plain top, jeans and a pair of skater shoes - would rather die than wear a dress. Her hair is normally up in a ponytail as she doesn't like it being in her face. She's likes reading, playing video games, watching generic rom-coms and her favourite pastime, listening to her Ipod. She isn't close with her mum, as her mum was always trying to convert to being more like her sister, but she always failed. As Ashley and her mum clashed with each other it has resulted in many arguments between the two. One time when her mum was complaining about her again, Ashley just decided to bite her tongue and let her mum buy her a dress and some heels so she's stop. Her dad on the other hand, has always accepted her for who she is. This meant that they had a much closer relationship and at times,
Ashley has seen him as more of a friend than a dad. So when her mum and dad got a divorce she found it really hard as she wasn't allowed to live with her dad. Ashley wasn't happy at all when her mum got remarried She generally spends a lot of time alone, but if does want to hang out with someone she hangs out with her friend Matt. She hates all the popular people at school as believes them to superficial. Having an attitude from the way she's treated by her mum, she uses this to her advantage with the popular people. Even though Ashley got good GCSE results, she moved to college to do her A Levels to get away from those at school, as she is determined to do better in life than them.
ROSE ELLISON:
Rose is 18, completely different to Ashley and is her older step-sister. She has long brown hair which is stylised and has brown hair and eyes. Rose has two main hobbies - applying on her make-up and shopping! She is vain and if there is a mirror she'll constantly be looking at herself to make sure that her appearance is just right. Unlike Ashley, Rose likes shopping, watching rom-coms especially if there's a fit guy in it, hanging out with her mates and being the centre of attention.
Rose went to the same school as Ashley, but was a year older and was one of the popular people. She didn't do very well in her GCSE's.so went to college and is doing a hair and beauty course, as one day she wants to have her own salon. She also wants to prove Ashley, as Ashley has expressed in many arguments that she doesn't think it's a proper course and she's just wasting her time. Rose lost her mum, after she had been involved in a car crash when she was 8 years old. As it has only been her and her dad for a long time, they are close and she is the centre of his world. When she found out that her dad started dating, she found it hard at first but eventually supported him as she wanted him to be happy.
